Not completly true, the guys are underground racing (during the V-10 Nationals) took a absolutely stock 96, bolted on a Paxton S/C with a 15lbs pulley and cranked out over 820 HP. Stock manifolds still in place. On that note, I thik any good header will do the job, just some better than others. If your willing to pay $2200 for a full race set up, great. 1 3/4" are great at $1800, but my 1 5/8" B&B will do fine at $1350(selling new ). It's all about what you're willing to pay for that extra 15 HP.I love the Belanger hesders that I bought from JonB (awesome street header), but if you're going for 750hp, you need a full race header. This means equal length 1 7/8 tubes ending in a burns 5-1 collector in the SIDESILL. This is not an easy installation, but if you're going for 750hp then easy isn't in your vocabulary.
If you need more help, contact David Weaver at Maxwell Dodge in Austin. He is familiar with this header design and can steer you in the right direction. He's a great guy, and he'll help you out even if he never sells you anything.
