HEADERS, Why do they cost so much for a Viper

Headers have to run hot the engine compartment does not. The twin coated Balengers do not raise the engine compartment temp. On both my Gen I & Gen 2 the temp went down. Belanger also puts a warning in the instruction to not put on heat shields. I picked up 50 bhp on both cars (94 & 97) with just the headers, 3" and no cats.

My first set of headers for my 97 were the SVSi ones. They were very expensive ($3800 in 98) but came with heat sleeves pre-installed on the pipes and nice burns collectors. They also had a super thick flange and never needed to be re-torqued. The power gain was noticable but not dollar for dollar the best money spent. However, the sound was (and still is - a friend now owns that car) the BEST!
