Heading to the DYNO today

Well unfortunetely this is my first trip to the dyno would have liked to make it as a stocker but there is no time like the present. 98 gts B&B 1"3/4 headers B&B 3 in pipes no cats or mufflers, ROE VEC-1, smoothe tubes and S&B filters I will be able to make several pulls as to tune the VEC-1 in , will post results tonight. Oops sorry posted in wrong area.

Should be fun. Keep us posted on the results. On a side note, how does your exhaust sound with headers/no cats/no muffs? Thanks.

Well to my surprise the car dynoed at its best today at the rear wheel 460.7 hp and 512.5 tq. Thanks to Sean Roe at Roe Racing Jacksonville FL. for great service and recommendations, and thanks to Dave Busch at Cartek Garwood NJ for a great day on the Dyno.

I wish that I could get to 460hp. The best I can do is 444. The VEC1 upped my HP a whopping 2 hp! Not real good.

When I dyno, I put in the O2 sensor in the header. This gives me a accurate fuel/air ratio across the RPM's. I am still running too rich up high.

But I still have cats and side resonators.

With the VEC yes it changes spark and fuel when you adjust the dials but the PCM still need some drive time to use this data most eficientely kind of like putting on a new exhaust it may uip the power 20 hp but after the PCM recognizes the change and adjusts. I wish my problem was runnig to rich my car is running lean, need to find an adjustabel fuel pressure regulator or better yet someone that can get into the PCM and change the parameters. And there is nothing wrong with 444 remeber all these cars started off at a different hp and you are not comparing apples to apples to mine I am sure we have a different setup.
