I found out last night my low beam passenger side headlight was out. I went and bought a new bulb this morning and put it in...still doesn't work. All other bulbs are working fine. Any common issues to look for?

Hey Chad,
On your Gen I, I would say the headlight switch. They commonly go bad, but I don't know if it can cause just one side to fail. Have you check your high beam on the pass. side? Also, the new light could be defective. Good luck,

Agree HL switch would affect both. Either a damaged, corroded pin in the plug or a defect bulb. Probe the pins with bulb out using a test light or voltmeter when lights on make sure power is there before going into it.
EDIT- I just looked at wiring diagram for a 96 RT. The high beams are on one curcuit but the Lows are on seperate. Fuse 3 in fuse block runs pass/right low and fuse 4 runs driver side. The daylight running module ties into the pass side also and is located on right frame rail per diagram. But I don't see it causing the problem. Check the fuse and if it keeps popping get a tech to trace a short.:( :2tu:

I don't know what a Viper headlight looks like from the inside, but on my car the taillight fittings are kind of prone to trouble due to a weak pins that you need to bend back into a proper position (bulb twists into fitting, fitting twists into taillight case).

The problem was a blown fuse. I replaced the fuse, but it popped again shortly thereafter :( Also, since Friday, my Raptor shiftlight has been going haywire (lighting up when it wants, strobing, etc). I really think they're related to the same problem. This car has been too good to have 2 different issues in the same weekend. I'm in FL, so I cant do much down here, but I'm going home later today and can check it further once I get there.

Looking at the wiring diagram I would try disconnecting the Daylight Running Module. It is the only thing that plugs into ONLY the right low beam lamp circuit before the bulb. Diagram says Module is on Right frame rail but not exactly where. In all due respect I don't want to argue with the Wizard but the Right High beam uses the same ground as the right Low beam so both should be bad if a ground. If not the Module and only fuse 3 blows then there has to be a rubbed through wire between fuse block and the bulb or DRL module. Hope this helps. :2tu:
