Heads Up Class at the Viper Nationals Sept 12-13

I plan a Fast 8 HeadsUp class. Experience tells me I can't have 4 classes with 2 or 3 cars. I want a full field of heads up cars that are fairly handicaped. I want to limit modifications to real street cars like the Mod 2 cars at past events (one power adder/one stage)or any All Motor car. The fastest 8 cars limited to these rules or anyone below is eligible. I'm looking for the Heffners, 1Tony1. Gary from MD, BTRs. TOOFAST, Jack Bene' and DR Roofs of the Viper World? Comments? Think ouside the box, I can't have a class for every combination.
We will pay $1000 to the winner, $250 RU Everyone is eligible for the Dial In Race $500 to win, $250 RU. Plus Contingencies and trophies.

In addition we have a great car show, Suite and Dream Car Garage dinner party. All for $60 per car.

Viper Nationals is in Norwalk Oh Sept 12-13, since 1999. The biggest purses in Viper Drag Racing. Sponsored by the Ohio VCA and part of the Chrysler Classic. This is the biggest Mopar Event going next to the Mopar Nationals (which doesn't have a Viper program)
No offense to the Texas posse, you guys supported my unlimited class in the first year, but no one has been willing to make the tow since. If I got ever Unlimited car in the country you'd only have a six car field. I feel I can attract more cars by fielding a Mod 2 format for the Heads Up race. Now you guys tell me how you want it? Give me ideas for rules that will keep real Mod 2 cars competitive. One stage of NOS, or only Levin, Heffner, Roe blowers. Comments, I think all these cars should be max high 9s to low 10s in et.

I can't let 1TONY1 have all the fun. I should be able to be there! I missed the V-10 nationals due to personal conflicts, but this one should be a breeze!

Joseph, by all means come and join the fun if your combo qualifies. Eight cars is just the beginning. More cars=More $$$$$. I'd like to hear from the Heffner camp? Maryland is a decent tow. What do you say Jason and your customers??

Joseph's combo will (OVER) qualify. Maryland is 3--4 hours less tow than Ga.

How stringent will tech be at the track since this co-insides with a Mopar Nationals event? Thanks!

Mopar Nationals are Aug 8-10 in Columbus. They have No Viper catagory. So, you bracket race with 500 other Mopars.
You might be thinking of our other event which is the week after the Mopar Nats, Aug 16. It is also in Columbus and is a Combo AutoX and Drag race. It will be televised on ESPN. Our event is Sept 12-13 about 1 1/2 hours north of Columbus.
Tech will be a liberal as Bowling Green. I tech the cars and put on the numbers.
To answer Tom, yes it will be dental supplies VS blowers, unless the Motor guys from Bowling Green show up.

I know it won't slow you down with that 5 stage system, but I was planning on you having trouble shifting with two passengers on the console.

Paul....is there a link to the autocross/dragrace weekend ? That sounds like fun.

Aug 16 Event is in Columbus. www.chryslerlassic.com will have info soon. This is a new event that runs in conjunction with some sport compact racing. We're putting the Viper portion together now
