Due to an idiot driver today I got forced off of the road and onto the side where the right side of my blue 97 gts got several scratches down the length of the car from some shrubs and bushes, Most appear to me that they can be polished out . But there is a pretty big one that appears white on the clear coat but I don't think got down to the blue paint.
Any suggestions on waxes/polishes whatever and how to get these out would be appreciated.
Any of the zaino products good for this?
This bites big time-just when Spring is here too!

Varanus, were you doing anything in the slightest way that might have precipitated a reaction from the other driver?

Sorry, I just had to ask. Some Viper drivers use the power to humiliate others, thusly proking a negative reaction.

Hope you don't mind me prying.

Sounds like your scratches can be buffed out, which is good news indeed.

Zaino Z-5 will fill in some of the smaller scratches in. Z-5 is non abrasive and will not fill in large scratches.

You might need to go to a light abrasive polish like the 3M swirl remover. Please remember that the 3M product is an abrasive and will be taking a light layer of clear coat off, so be gentle.

Nope..just another driver drifting into my lane. They probably were doing something else besides driving like cell phone talking or yelling at the kids. And no they didn't pull over, they just kept on going with me in the bushes.

IF IT'S NOT THROUGH THE CLEAR.... 1500 grit wet/dry sand paper and 3M hand glaze will work. I hit a cone at 70 mph at the race track and scuffed the RH 1/4 on my Viper and had to do the same thing. I wet sanded the area and then hit it with 3M hand glaze several times finishing with a high speed buffer.

IF IT IS THROUGH THE CLEAR, (and chances are that it is). I would SERIOUSLY consider having it looked at by a professional body and paint shop. I scraped up against a curb and scratched my front fascia. The scratches were through the clear coat and I had to have that area fixed. With today's technology, those guys take a sample of your paint to the paint store where it is optically recorded and matched perfectly. The body shop will then wet sand the area where the scratch is and then paint, wet sand again, shoot the clear, wet sand again and buff. When they finish, you won't even be able to tell where they worked AND it won't cost an arm and a leg either. It is of course, very important that you deal with a reputable body shop as they will have the people with the experience required to do the 'feathering'.

Hope this helps.

BTW, it's a drag getting run off into the bar ditch. Glade it wasn't worse.
