The main things that seem to be issues with the gen 3 (at least my gen 3 so far) are the power steering and oil cooler lines. Though in your case, 18,000 miles on a car that's 13 years old is just under 1400 miles a year. That's not too bad, but that's a lot of sitting, so I'd be wary of any seals and rubber parts. Otherwise though the cars are pretty bulletproof if they have basic maintenance. Mine is at 126,000 miles (bought it with 43,000 a little over 6 years ago) and it's been pretty awesome. I did the power steering lines, oil cooler lines, and new shocks as "failed" parts in all that time. I've replaced others as well, but that was due to my own fault and desire to upgrade at times.
