HELP! Strage Door Problem

My drivers side door refuses to open from the outside, but functions properly from the inside.
The passenger side door functions properly though. I have changed the batteries in the Fob and retrained it, to no avail..

What is wrong..

We had the microswitch go bad on one of our cars - same symptoms - took a while to gethte right part, but that fixed the problem - since the button and the handle are not mechanical, it logically should be the switch...

AFY, Sounds like Janni may be right on the outside microswitch that is at fault[door button]. I've replaced a few of those switchs and it's always been the left one[the door that gets used the most].
Unfortunately to check that system you now have to remove the door panel and start probing wires[test procedures from the service manual].If you'd like to give me a call here at the Dealership maybe I can help you solve this problem?
