Well me and the family decided to take a last minute unexpected trip to Lancaster, PA. I didn't think this morning till I suddenly remembered Lauri lives there! So I was out on I-95 and no access to any computer. I was talking to a friend at the time and asked if he could e-mail Lauri to see if it was okay to stop by since I was in town. I wanted to check out that new hood.

On the way there we stopped at several places here and there, but nothing could stop this day from getting bad. WRONG.

After spending several minutes going through a construction site. At about 8:50 PM my Mom here's something from the rear. I reached back and realized that the rear air conditioning system was still on and I turned it off. No biggie, that solved that.

Ten minutes later at 9 PM....FWEOOM!!! The right rear tire blows out and to make things seem even worse we stop just before a sign that reads 'New Jersey: 6 exits ahead'. Me and my dad quickly hopped out and started changing and at 9:08 my phone rings while jacking the car.

Lauri: Hi is this Ron?
me: Yup it's me Lauri!
Lauri: How's it goin, some one sent me an e-mail you were in Lancaster
me: Yeah I was about two hours ago, right now I'm changing a tire on I-95. Think I can call you back?
Lauri: Oh that's not good, sure

To tell you the truth that 30 second conversation cracked me up. :D After I hung up with Lauri I swapped the tires in a quick 15 minutes and finally headed home.

Next time Lauri I'll make sure to let you know ahead of time when I'll be coming out there. It was such sort notice.

A blowout on the side of Interstate? Those are always fun. I had to change a tire with my dad on the way to TN a couple years ago during a snowstorm. Visibility was very low and we were told there was no police who could come park behind us with their lights on while we changed the tire b/c they were all ******* at wrecks.

I found a message in my e-mail to call to VIPER-GTS-R.
It was sent at 5PM and now it was 9.30PM.
So, what the heck, I'll call.
I dont think I heard half of the conversation, you must have been outside car changing tire?

Well.. If you come back again, give me a call, I'll bring a can of FIX-O-FLAT with me!!!
PS. The hood (or the car) is not here, both are in Gillett, PA. About 220 miles north of the buggy country (Lancaster). I'll PM you once the beast in back in the garage and has the blower+NX on.

Give me a call next time, I'll show your family the covered bridges and black buggies... and the fastest red buggy in Lancaster!!!

Yes Plumcrazy, the wait is killing me..... Just wait, I"LL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup I was outside the car changing the tire with cars flying by at 60 mph. I'll probably come back sometime towards the end of Spring, begining of Summer. That'll be the next time I'll be off and free from everything!

Here's some shots of the tire. There's actually several punctures. We did have Fix-O-Flat with us but it almost seems if a Sabertooth Tiger bit it!

That's what I would like to know Chad! Looked all around the tire an found nothing. I had a hunch going through that construction area. They had a big front end loader digging towards the road but I didn't think anything would get to our lane since the had the one blocked off.

Didn't see any vipers behind me. :p
