I thought I was imagining it and then I thought it must be the G Forces throwing me back in the seat but now I am not so sure.

I am talking about the seat belt locking and holding me tight when I step into the go pedal. Is there a sensor that locks the seat belt when the car accelerates hard or is it just that my RT cares about me? :dunno:

G-Force. Belt locks are set with a pendulum type of device. You press back in the seat under hard accelleration and it keeps you there. Only the GEN I and II seem to do this.Either they changed the type of belt system or the Gen III and IV just aren't as powerfull.:smirk:

See I knew I wasn't imagining it. The odd thing is that I can push back into the seat (mimicking the G Force effect) but it doesn't lock. It can be a little annoying if I am trying to reach for something and she won't let me go!

Mine does the same. I think the pendulum/lock mechanism is suppose to work the other way around though as opposed to what was mentioned above. The pendulum is designed to lock the belt in place when there is a sudden stop or deceleration. To get mine to release, I have to romp on it a little. Apparently, the pendulum swings rearward far enough to release the lock mechanism when I accelerate. Problem is, if I'm next to someone, they're thinking I'm wanting to race.
