Just contacted the Parlor and here is what I learned, they do have FREE wireless access but at times it can be sketchy coverage, so they recommended we have a backup plan just in case.

So Clint if you can bring your laptop with wireless plus AT&T card we should be completely covered with two methods of access.

Regarding viewing the videos,:tv: the Parlor will make a DVD player and also a plasma TV available for our event at no additional charge. :clap2:

The laptop is a great idea IF we need access.

The ONLINE payments for the auction will not be needed as this "action item" was taken care of a couple weeks ago weeks ago by George Wyrsch. (Thanks George);)

ALL Auction items WILL be available for purchase via credit card.

I could come by with my truck if you need help.
Weather is going to keep the Viper tucked away anyways.

That would be great Clint! We were going to drive the semi truck, but I'm not sure it would fit in the parking garage. If you can take some of the larger items in your truck, we could drive the SRT8.

Thanks Scotty for the phone call, I guess we will now be bringing a laptop and wireless connection. Please try and communicate better in the future so this does not happen again, this is an important event for charity.

To date we are at one of largest events again with over 40 paid entries! There is already a buzz regarding the items we have to auction off, and there may be a bidding war on a few!

We don’t want anyone to miss out on this great newly designed event or a chance to get one of our awesome packages .

Please Remember ----The online store is still accepting payment until Saturday - Nov. 8th at noon.
Online its only $55.00 Per Person and will be $65.00 Per Person at the door.

I second that! What a great event. A good time was had by all, and the auction went very smoothly. I'm not sure what the final total was, but it was quite a bit of money for HopeLink!

Thanks again to Heather and Scott, George and Sharon, Clint, and James for really stepping up, and to everyone else who helped, especially our donation sponsors and coordinators!

:) The party held on Saturday was a huge success! :)

We would like to thank all the generous donors in reaching over $10,000 in donated auction items!
We would also like to thank all the generous members of the Washington region for making this event an amazingly unique and enjoyable event! With their help we were able to raise enough money for Hopelink to give 110 children between the ages of twelve and eighteen gifts at their annual gift room this holiday season!

It was great to see a lot of new faces as well as a few we haven’t seen in a while. It seems that this annual Holiday party is always a success in bringing the Viper family together and keeping that bond strong.
:usa:At this event we also handed the torch over to the new incoming Officers that will carry our club over the next two years and we are looking forward to all the new ideas coming forth!

Thanks for all your support!

WHO WON THE $50 GASOLINE CARD from PartsRack ? As outlined below, the mantle of responsibility fell to JAMES to decide the winner within the posted guidelines:

The top three people that would have won the gas card were excluded from winning due to your conditions regulating who qualified for the prize, so we chose to avoid an ackward situation and did not give out a prize for furthest drive.

Actually Clint who drove over 90 miles would be an officer elect for 2009, not a current regional officer, so would probably qualify for the gas card. Am I correct or did I miss something?

Sounds like CLINT is a WINNER to me !?!? When he ARRIVED he was NOT an Officer? He now has a FIRE EXTINGUISHER he won as well, standing by while he fuels $50 gas!
What is Clint's full name? He's in our database......

{P.S. the many years I was a National or Regional officer I chose not to 'win' anything vs. our 'regular' attendee Members. Ever. Unless it was a driving event. It looks odd for officers to solicit donations and then win them. (Or for vendors to win from other vendors.) If I unavoidably won, I re-awarded the prize. So I apply those 'conditions' on our VCA donations, ..........but many officers do the same anyway.....MEMBERS WIN! ]

The winner should be Larry Schmidt then, as he is not an officer. He doesn't qualify under your member/vendor exclusion though.

My opinion is that Clint was not yet an officer when he drove to the event, he certainly drove a long way and even drove extra to help get the donated prizes to the event.

If my vote counts, it is for Clint to get the gas card.

The gas card was not donated to the event coordinators in this case, the gas card was donated to James from Jon B, with James to nominate the winner on the forum. So what James says goes.

Congratulations Clint!
