Hood Question Also

My hood seems to be very difficult to close. The passenger side latch doesn't seem to want to grab the loop. If I hold open the first latch ( in the grill ), it seems to help but this isn't right. Any suggestions?

Over time, and lots of hood closing (you failed to say year-miles)those left and right latches can actually recess a bit. Simple to loosen them ever so slightly, pry them up about 2-3mm, and tighten them down again. In my 50K mile 1993 I had to do this twice....

I also open my hood far more than most. I left it open after EVERY run when parking in garage.... Minimized heat-saok of hood and paint. Hood stayed PRISTINE......

I suspect you have an older Viper, or a very new one that is not adjusted properly?
