Autoform also has some other hood solutions that are lighter and don't use the factory springs or connection points. They also have a very cool nose peice (that I want!). Email Autoform at[[email protected]]

You may also look for factory take off hoods. Autoform may have some as may Archer Racing. Locally (NC) I know Kenny Hawkins has two that he may or may not be interested in selling.

Thanks for the input. I went to Autoform's website for info but like most auto/tuner/supplier websites it *****. Sorry for the criticism but it's true.

Any idea on how much weight savings Autoform's hood is?

I took Tony's hood off at his house one time I was there. I had to show him how a real Viper engine looks.. hehe, (Just kidding Tony). I on the phone NOW with Tony and asked him the weight of his hood.. GET THIS... 19 a savings of 100 lbs over stock.. (106 lbs weight with springs) cost is about 4,800......

With a new hood costing between 10K and 18K (depending on who y’ talk to), is there anyone that makes a replacement hood cheaper and lighter? Carbon Fiber maybe. If so, how much?
