Hood suggestions!

So I have a few grand to blow on the viper, I'm 90% sure I want an 08 hood. Should i stick with the conventional 08 factory hood or pick up a vipair hood? and if so on the vipair hood can someone link me to it? I'm having a hard time finding which hood on Vipairs site is the Vipair hood and not the 08 hood.

Or if someone else has any good ideas for mods shoot them at me!

I'm putting springs and caps on the ride tomorrow night as well, im pumped!
BTW i have a 2006 FE Coupe, if that matters.
Now shoot me some ideas

you can plainly tell the vipair hood is bigtime raised in the center scoop...just call them

Matt I went with the Vipair because of the raised center section.

Mines getting put on right now. Body shop called last night and said the fit was very good.

Good luck with your choice any 08 hood will look great.

Yeah ill most likely end up calling them...and I've read the hoods fit pretty well.

I have'nt had any problems whatsoever with my carbon fiber VIPAIR hood.
The raised center scoop is more "aggressive" looking...IMO

It's not very noticeable, which was intentional, but I left the center section of the hood exposed CF...

Funny thing that I have learned about Vipers over the years.


No Viper is the same.

A body part that "fits" on one car may not fit on another car.
Even though they are identical in year, body style etc...

The gap between the hood and the fender can be remedied by adjusting the fender.
I had to adjust the fenders when I went from OEM '06 to an OEM '08 hood too...

It is, what it is...

We fitted my fiberglass Vipair hood on Thursday and the gaps were seriously OEM width and it fit great! Saw Steves Carbon hood and ordered it so the fiberglass hood is back in the box. I will get the carbon hood in about a week or so.

I got mine from Vipar and it's currently in the body shop being painted. going for a flat matte finish. Should be ready this week.
