Regional Officers are elected by each region's members. Elections must be held every two years.

National Officers used to be elected by the National Presidents every two years at the Presidents' meeting. With the approval of the new bylaws, it is now the responsibility of the Zone Officers to elect your new National Officers.

There really isn't a "then and now" for the zone officers. This tier was setup within the new bylaws. The zone officers were elected by your National officers the first go-around, but will be elected by your Regional Officers in the future.

I'm not sure I understand your thoughts. Please call me at 732-531-4600.

The Zone directors WILL be elected by YOUR regional officers (all of them).

So the chain is: VCA members elect regional Presidents, Regional Presidents elect Zone officers, Zone officers elect National Officers. This was approved by YOUR regional Presidents, and seems quite logical.
