I have a second job that requires me to meet with perspective customers in the evenings when I'm done with my first job. When the weather is nice I take the Viper to these meetings. I have never lost one of these jobs when I drove the Viper. The meeting usually ends with me taking my new client for a ride in the car. Door opened. At the gym A girl will be walking towards me, as she gets closer I am about to say hello but she glances off in another direction. Now I'm no Brad Pitt but no one has ever turned to stone after looking at me either. One day I decide to drive the Viper to the gym and park right in front. Now these same girls are coming up to me and starting conversation. Go figure. Door opened. I could go on with more of these but how about some of you guys. Any doors opened ?

Nothing changed for me, but my insurance cost.

I can't afford to follow up on the lifestyle a Viper may realize. It looked inspirational with Liv Tyler in it in the movie "One night at McCool's".

However it feels sublime every time I drive it.

Yes it has. I hardly every bring my car out with clients but if I am listing a million-dollar home or close to it, it is with me if the weather is nice.

It sometimes does...but at work, most of the folks here don't appreciate it and almost see it as a sign of arrogance...oh the irony.

Yes, you are right about that. The other day we were cruisin (we being me and ViperMike) in his SRT and saw a brand new Saleen S7... Gorgeous

I guess if you enjoy the company of shallow women (usually high school girls) it's a good thing. Just be ready to pay for everything or they'll drop ya like a rock.

Acrdakota - Same here in NJ (I live and work in Morris and Bergen counties). People are driving some heavy artillery here; Viper is just another car. No biggie, my anonymity is intact...

I think it all depends where you live. I never drive my Viper to work because many clients would think I'm charging them too much. But for them to have an oversized house and two brand new suv's, that's perfectly fine. It's all about perception, and if you have your own business and live in a somewhat rural area, you have to know when and where you can drive a Viper.

Could not agree more in the area where I live.... I have to deny owning my car around here... I was told by someone a lot older and more experienced (note I added the experienced part because it is not always so... ) that you never drive a better car than your clients... I have lost work when the customer found out what I drove... yet they can live in a 10,000 sq foot house and drive 2 or 3 new cars (of any type)... It is wierd having to talk smack about your dream car just to do business - "ya, it is an older car... 02, bought it used" , "got it for about what your escalade cost, really!" etc.. and without business I could not afford the car... not fair!

My head salesman bought a new lotus elise and put a picture of it on his laptop.. popped up on his screen saver during a big presentation with a client, ended the meeting just about. No sale. :(

Young clients that we deal with think it is cool and gives them something to work for.. :2tu:

Always strikes up a conversation with the ladies in the bar though.... in my case, I have the best woman anyone could ask for, I would rather have the clients.... I want another GTS in yellow! :)

I really cant think of any doors my car has opened. I've met a lot of people who I wouldnt have without having the Viper, but nothing really spectacular. Honestly around here, I'm not sure most people know what a Viper is or respect what an amazing piece of history it is.

If the point is to open doors, a Viper is more accessory then one needs. Kind of like when someone once asked Arnold Schwartsnegger if he became Mr. Universe to get girls.

Its opened more windows than doors, mine to get that ticket.Actually I have got to meet a wide spectrum of people(club, shows, races etc.)which opens many doors and my wallet.I never drive mine to work and would never take it to a property or where I'm the buyer in a deal.I get a lot of thumbs ups but also some grief for having it.Oh well I'll get over it next time I drive it.

I met a gorgeous women why out of my league when I pulled up in a Rolls and then in a Viper. We married shortly which if it wasn't for the cars, she would not have know whoI was. I'm not saying that women are superficial, but yes, women are very surperficial.

When I go to a bar, If I am not seen driving an expensive car or wearinjg a sign stating what I do for a living, I get NO looks from the hotties. So yes cars and your occupation does definitely open the doors for you. Most women would rather go for the GQ face that is either unemployed or making minimum wage but that is what makes the world go round. Hencd when I hire a surgical assistant and one looks like a$500/****** and the other looks like a beast, you know which one I'm going to select.I'm not saying tht women are superficial but women are superficial.

My Viper is now opening its own doors. If I close the driver's door, it will open on its own after a varying amount of time. Does that count :p ?
