A dozen and a half northern cal members took the Skip Barber 1 day school at Laguna Seca earlier this week.
The highlight of the day, by far, was the smokey-burn-out and wild-ride fest:

The un-named instructor was pretty proficient at standing on the brakes while lighting-up the rear end. He'd ease off the brake, grab second and actually drive the car through about a 1/4 of the autocross course with the rear end caughing-up gobs of smoke. Pretty da*n impressive. Word has it he's driving at a nationally televised race at Sears Point this weekend.
Also impressive was how much heat/abuse the ol' pilot sports could take, until, ahem, one decided to let go.
