How long from "D" status to delivery?

Well I finally pulled the trigger and ordered an 09 coupe with the aero package. It has a VIN number assigned and shows "D" status. The factory is to re open on the 20th. About how long does it take from D status to being delivered? I am still missing my stolen Gen 2 but looking forward to this new hot rod. Belanger headers and exhaust right away. Thanks.

Don't be in a Hurry. Let the build take it's time like a fine wine to ferment. The wait will well be worth it. When i ordered my 08 ACR i patiently waited 8-9months or so...

Hey, Im no expert, but it probably depends on what colors they are going to be building once the plant reopens, also, depends on parts availability. Hopefully very soon after it reopens, you will et your Viper!!! What color and options, if you do not mind?

Bright Red (what else) with black stripes and black int. Aero package, protection kit, NO damn nav/gps. and the 5 spoke polished wheels. Thanks for the info.

D1 status first week of february
Once it leaves D1 status it reaches I status in a few days.
I status 3/13, my car did not go to prefix,
j status april 2
delivery april 11

with stripes and aero , once you go to D1 you probably still got at least 3 months

Wow, I remember how anxious I was, like it was yesterday. It seemed like it would take forever for my Viper to arrive. It was a great thread to vent.

I looked at all the threads from 2008 of owners waiting forever for status change. I would think the orders have slowed way down along with all the production (economy) and I might get my car by mid summer???? Also, how do you know the status on an order has changed? Do you have to call the dealer and trust their words?

the dealer checks the status on their computer, only takes a few seconds, there should be one guy at the dealership that orders all the cars, he is the guy to call, My dealer used to check pretty frequently as my 08 was the only viper they had ever ordered...

there is no way of knowing accurately for sure when you will get the car.. a few guys on here were stuck in I status for months
