How Loud is it?

I also have Belanger headers as well as the Random tech ultra high Flow Cat and the Corsa 3" Cat Back with 4" Tips, but when I first started to drive my Viper, it sounded like slightly muffled open headers on a monster big block. Now it sounds righteous to me (am I going deaf?) instead of way too righteous. I still am carefull around police though, because it still is loud if the snake pedal is approaching the floor mat.

When I added the Sean Roe VEC1, the tone of the exhaust became deeper and more powerfull sounding, which makes sense since my Viper felt like it picked up another 20 horsepower.

The sound is fairly quiet at a constant RPM, but not un- noticable. I can listen to the stereo at lower volumes and have conversations at a normal speaking level.

I just finished installing RT cats and a corsa this weekend. Thank god for inventing the sawlsall! Anyway, as far as loudness goes its just right. I'd say it's comparably load as my neigbors '72 Camaro with headers and full exhaust. Very healthy sound.

sun ka rat, did you have any problems with the headers leakin? i heard a lot about belanger headers leaking, just wondering if they resolved that situation. another question, how much HP did you pick up from the headers, cats, and exhaust? i have the exhaust now but once i make enough money im gonna get the headers and cats, just curious on what i should expect. thanks

No problems at all with my system - no leaks - no lights.

I had the system installed (and other "neccessary" mods) before I picked up my Viper at Woodhouse, so I don't know what gains I got. I knew I was planning on getting the Sean Roe Supercharger and I wanted to get as much of what would maximize it when it did get here and also capable of being a stand alone system of mods.

I also wanted to cool the side sills - knowledge from reading posts here. They still get hot enough to melt the rubber soles on one pair of shoes I have, but my other shoes' soles don't melt. I can't imagine how hot the side sills of a stock Viper get. Maybe strap some food to the side sills & it would be fully cooked by the time you got where you're going.

How do you guys get the sound of like a corvette stingray or sir hiss? I'm trying to put a list of mods together when I hopefully get a GTS in the near future.I think I got it bad for a viper!!!
