How many are stock bottom end & blown?

I would really like a 5lb system...but i have heard the stock pistons will not take it?? This true??

I've not heard of pistons going but there seems to be a rash of spun rod bearings in the 04s.

I have a stock bottom end, I got blown... and I have a supercharger.

I believe that heat is a real issue with the stock cast pistons. Get them too hot (with excessive boost and/or a charge that isn't cooled) and you've got problems. I've heard this from some of the most reputable tuners out there.

Paxton has a very well integrated air/water charge cooler. This allows a safety margin. Maximum boost only at red line, so time at high boost is not great for street driving.
