2003 Vert 33000 miles maintenance free.

This is good news for me I have a 03 as well.Ive been reading alot on here about the rod bearings going out early on these cars.like around 20k.Guess that was just some of the models that was having issues.

That ain't much We've averaged over1,500 miles per month for every month the car is on the road in our 6 month seasons...since 5/2000. Only pleasure miles...no work. ...plus another 5 or 6000 miles on the fancy Viper since 8/06

We'll hit the 100K mile club this year for Viper miles driven. Not bad considering the 6 month seasons. I'm thinking not many here can lay claim to that kind of use over basically 5 years of 12 month driving

The car has seen track use / 2-3 dozen autocross / SC for the last 37K miles. Uses no oil. Replaced the timing cover gasket at 66K miles. That's it. No other engine issues. Knock on wood, I see no reason for the engine to ever quit if taken care of.

Not bad…much better than most! At that continued rate you’ll hit 100K in 7.7 yrs. Not really close to us….but very admirable ….. Had I used the car for commuting to work at all, it would have added another 160-170 miles per day. …With the Bumblebee miles added in, we’re currently at 1760 miles per month.

Who here has more monthly Viper windshield time than that? …which isn’t really highjacking the thread….just adding another parameter for the high miler club

Good job! I tip my hat ....I'll remove it and bow if you tell me you did that in 6 month seasons . We'd be well over 200k if we could run all year.

There has a become a myth about Vipers and mileage....like anything over 2K a year makes it a high miler, not desirable, and tanks the resale value. How ridiculous!! The Viper engine is a well made big block powerplant. No different than any other gas engine. There is no reason for it not to run for at least a couple hundred 1000 miles if properly cared for. I've had quite a few vehicles that I sold at 120-160K miles. They were all running perfectly. One of them saw the road track a few times. It had a 145K miles on the last track event it did. ....100 degree heat/no shade/8 sessions at Putnam Park...never missed a beat. We then continued on our vacation with it.

As I said many years ago here. ...There is a plus to all this foolishness. if I ever blow up my car or want to get another, there will be 100s of low mile garage queens and/or 'high (30-40K+) milers' to buy.....at a big discount to what they should really sell for.

I'm quite aware that "anything is only worth what someone is willing to give for it." Unfortunaley, The Viper community shot themselves in the foot by erasing 10s of $1000s of dollar of value from this unique one of a kind product by declaring that Viper engines are not as good as most any other engine on the market today. And that is simply not true!
