Usually a second year car is better. In this case, carefully reading about the problems of the 2004's makes it sound not much better than the early cars (multiple loose bolts) Of course the 03's had valve issues, a bog and the headlight flicker to name just a few.

Ya gotta wonder if they are any better.... The headlight flicker was an easy fix with a reflash, as was the bog. There are a small number of 2003's with the valve issue - they were segregated and recalled.

The 2004's seem to be plagued by various "loose bolts" on any number of parts, some resulting in failures, and NO actions or recalls are taking place to try to find the affected cars. I think if I had an '04, Id have the Viper Tech check all the bolts that have been posted on here to have been found to be loose.

My 2003 never had the headlight flicker, had a mild bog (fixed) and wasn't a valve car. Really - no issues. I would be seriously ticked if my 2004 went through a rear end or a motor from the plague of the loose bolts.
