How Much Boost Can I Go?

have to replace my pistons on my 2001 and have a ROE SC with water ****. could i go as high as 10 or more lbs of boost. im also thinking about a lumpy cam. what kind of HP ##'s can i look forward too with 10 or 12 pulley(if they make it)?

700 at the rear with a 10lb. pulley if you get the heads done also.

D, lately it seems from your posts that your snake has more shop time than saddle time. You know there is no end to how much horsepower you can make. Find a setup that gives you more reliability to enjoy the car. Just some friendly advice.

Avi that's true. This summer that car has been in the shop more than it has been driven. Since the motor has to be opened up I like to make more power just cause I can. We all want to go faster.

What happened? I was considering the 6.5lb pulley and roller rockers but not if they caused your piston damage. Did you Dyno the car with the mods in your signature? Rick

no never dyno plus my car had 39k miles and they werent easy ones.

to run safe you can go 5lb pulley and you should be at 550RWP with headers and rockers. if you go with 6.5lb pulley you'll need ROE's water/**** kit and you should be at 600RWHP.

Macedo has used this cam in de-creampuff cars before with success.
