how noisy are your windows with them all the way up in your coupe? - 2009 ACR = noisy

I just took it to the local dodge dealer because they don't seal very well or they don't go all the way back up or something...... they called and said they are *within spec* at 75mph i should not hear wind noise in a car that costs as much as mine did.

anyone have any experience? should I try a different dealer? supposedly they measured where the windows go with the door closed and did nothing other than say it was good.

All of my Vipers have been the same (including my 2009 ACR), lots of wind noise at speed. Frameless windows can be like that, especially when trying to save weight and caring less about sealing. I have gotten used to it and don't care anymore.

Leak pretty good too when washing...plenty of water on the inside of the glass.
I give you credit for leaving a new ACR at a dealer...I sure wouldn't..

Same, lots of wind noise. I decided to cover it up with a loud exhaust note. Problem solved!

Edit: Realized this is coupes...but the same solution applies.

hhaha.. well that *****.... i am pretty sure my new windshield is has some air coming in but my sidewindows are so ****ing noisy i can't tell... ahahah... Guess i will just turn radio up or keep revs up.

My '08 Coupe's windows aren't silent, but they don't make a ton of noise either at 75. Noticeable, but tolerable, and easily fixed by turning up the radio.

I'll assume you are talking about wind noise...

Could you be hearing noise from that giant wing on the back? I find my '04 convertible to be surprisingly quiet - all things considered.

On my wife's Subaru Baja, I feel like I need to wear ear plugs because of wind noise on the mirrors. My Lexus is very quiet with the windows closed, but even when they are opened slightly, it's as noisy as my old '68 Corvette.

ahahhah.. i had an 08 Z06 which didn't make nearly as much noise..... it was probably about the same quick other than the ****ty tires it had...

i can live with the wind noise but just assumed mine was not going up all the way.... o well...

Ride in someone else's car and see if it's much different. I'd be willing to bet that wind noise is pretty low on the list of almost everyone on here. My exhaust drowns most wind noise out, but it does get a bit annoying at a buck fifty.

I never have noticed wind noise in my 08 ACR; but, then again they are noisy cars to begin with.

The 06 and both 08s that I have had were about the same, passenger side window much worse than drivers side.....but I rarely drive with the windows up.

There actually is a lot of adjust-ability with the windows - biggest pain is removing the door panel to get to the adjustment screws. Just need to find a dealer willing to do it or if you choose to do it yourself - make sure you know how to remove the door panels as incorrectly removing them can lead to a broken panel/plastic strip. It may be fairly obvious where the window is not sealing or you can try to pinpoint the area of the wind leak using a piece of folded up paper. Put the paper in different areas of the window/door frame and close the door.

this is what i was looking for.... i **** at removing door panels so i was hoping they are actually adjustable.... I drive my car in all weather so I would like if the windows were actually quiet.... for the $25k i paid for the car i expect quiet windows....

If you do not know what you are doing with the Viper door panels DO NOT try this yourself - You WILL crack the flimsy plastic molding at the top of the door panel and will be a lot more pissed than you are with the wind noise.
