Very subtle difference. I like it both ways because of different reasons. While your proposition might arguably have better curves to meet with the headlights edges. I think the original design looks a tiny bit meaner. I wouldn't lose any sleep over this

+1 on this. The hood on the Gen 3/4 makes it so much easier to work on engine than the clamshell hood my Gen 2. I hit my head on that dang thing more times than I could count.
