How to remove gen 4 stub shafts

As the title suggests, I'm trying to figure out how this diff comes apart. I've got it out of the car and the back cover off of it, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the stub shafts. This is a gen 4 setup to my knowledge (I swapped my gen 3 diff in the past for what I was told was a gen 4). I can't see any kind of clip or anything to remove and can barely even see the axles inside the diff. Could someone give me a hint or point to the tool for the job?

If it is a Gen 4 setup, good luck - they are notorious for being difficult/impossible to remove. You need something that can grab on to the groove that holds the outer snap ring...there is a similar one internal to the diff that is keeping it in place. You'll need a slide hammer to shock it enough to release, but finding the right attachment is the hard part...this is the closest I've found (although I never ordered one since I couldn't verify it would screw on to my slide hammer):

I actually ended up finding a Miller tool. It was a Miller 8420. Says it's for front axle removal, but mentions Rams and has the ZB designation as well. Seems like it was maybe just a tiny bit small, but with some hose clamps it worked just fine. Had to beat on it pretty hard, but popped out without too much fuss otherwise.

No problem! I'm just glad it worked out. I took a gamble on it, but figured I could always return it if it just didn't fit. Was reasonably priced too. No idea what the sleeve that comes with it is for, but it went in the toolbox either way.
