How to year ID a seat cover?

I ended up with a set of back and butt seat covers for the two seats. They are brand new but not in boxes. Only issue is, the gentlemen I got them from is not sure if they are 96 high bolster wear ones, or the 97-02 ones.

How does one tell? Strictly by part number, or is there a visual key that I can look for?

Also, what were all the changes between the 96 and the newer ones?
