How\'s the air in the SRT vs GTS?

Those of you who have had a GTS, does the SRT (with the top up)
have a better HVAC system than the GTS? Once the GTS is parked out in the sun
for a little while and heats up, the air just cannot cool it down. Is the SRT any better?

Yes, the SRT is better at cooling down, worse at heating up. I never had a problem parking the GTS after a long drive and feeling overwhelmed with the heat after getting back in the car. Good thing the SRT is a convertible, because if I couldn't drop the top to let the heat out.....The SRT's A/C system will absolutely freeeeeeze you within a few minutes. I keep turning it down. Never did that in the GTS or the RT/10.

Re: How\'s the air in the SRT vs GTS?

As Viperfreak says above, all is true.

After cruising around the other night, for about 30 minuets, with the top down, outside temp is around 75, no A/C on the car starts to get very hot inside. I will be putting the Random Tech high flow cats on the car as soon they are available. They do so much for the car, such as cabin heat, sound great, slight HP increase, reduce heat buildup in the engine. I've never done a mod that has so many advantages. They pass emissions with no trouble. My side sills were getting very hot also, not good for the paint on them. I like to not run the A/C at night, when sprinting about, don't like spinning it up, or the drag it creates, but I'm glad it is a better system than the former cars. It sure will cool the car down quickly, or at least the part of it. I did drive on a long trip in the car and the heat build up was terrible, the A/C cools the front of you're body, while the car heats up the rest of you. Very strange feeling. I will be putting a 185 thermostat in the car, it won't do much around town, but soon as the car gets up some speed and you get in to the higher gears the temp will drop down to the 185.

A/C is far more flexible in the SRT and seems to be slightly stronger/more effective at cooling the cabin quicker. Definite A/C improvement has been made in the new vehicle.
