I just picked up a set of HRE 546 wheels. Are the torque specs for the lugs nuts the same as stock wheels on a 97 GTS?

Sorry for not getting your call earlier. They should be around 97 to 103 F.P.T. Thanks, Tony

Service manual says 80 - 100. It's an issue of what the studs require, as well as the seating surface of the lugnuts.

Personally, we use 90 ft lbs, as we are not sure how well calibrated our torque wrench is and 10% either way will still allow us to be in range.

I think 100 is too high on stock studs - as it leaves no margine for error.

Also, NEVER torque when wheels are hot..... guaranteed studs stretching. (Man, that sounded dirty...)

Thanks to all for the inputs. I settled in on 95 FTP. Thanks to Tony Besh and Steve Pasztor for the deal on the wheels and tires as
they were just what I was looking for and look great on the car.
