I went out and decided to clean my windshield and then the clunk noise went away! So for all you people with dirty windshields expect to hear clunks!

Actually...I went out and tightened down my coil overs shocks mounting studs and that was it! They were a little loose not much but enough to drive me nuts! The car actually breaks better and corners tighter..heh! get that huh! A little loose nut does all that! Or maybe I'm the nut

it was the fronts. I had lowered my car and must have not torque them down enough.

Cool Adam,

my next suggestion was to tighten the nut behind the wheel

I had a "clunk" too that some simple wrench work took care of... during mild acceleration it would go "clunk", somewhere above the transmission near the back of the engine, like it was hitting the firewall or something.

Turned out to be a 7/16" combination wrench I left on the intake manifold - it would slide back and hit the firewall under acceleration. Obviously removal of the wrench fixed the problem. doh.

It happens when I turn right and put on the breaks. Sounds like something shifting
