I was headed home on my private race track when this Mustang out of no where decides to race me on my private track! What nerve he has. So off he goes and he leaves me, until I dropped it in 3rd and hammered it. I passed him up like he was sitting still. We did this 3 times and I killed him. Now comes the cell phone excuse. I have never seen this. He pulls up next to me waving his cell phone with the lights on telling me he was on the phone. Yeah right! On the phone trying to keep up at 130mph?

Man my car was running strong tonight. I could hear it and feel it.

Nice one Vic. Hopefully he told them he was driving 130 pacing a Viper and they traced his call. He was actually getting ready to dial 1-800-BIG-LOSR. Excuses are like a-holes; everyone has one and they all stink!

Ab, You would think if he was really on the phone he would have shown it to you after his first beating. You can offically coin the term, "he gave the fake cell" excuse.

Must have been something in the air tonight in Al. I was driving back to Florida from my brothers house and every idiot in LA (lower Alabama) from 6 cyl camero's mustangs and some 4x4 hillbilly in his big truck w/ glass packs paced me. Finally I would just stand on the brakes and let them go by, after kicking their A$$ a couple of times. Once topping 140 w/ a worthy opponent Z06 still had him by a few car lengths. This 140 mph and above is becoming somewhat of a habbit here lately, every time I do it I swear to myself this is the last time. :D

I took my X5 4.6 to the dragstrip a few weeks ago. Ran consistent 14.9 - 15.0 1/4s @ 91 mph. Since it's 4WD and automatic, there's not much to do once you launch, so I would sometimes pick up my cell phone once I'd staged and make sure my opponent could see what I was doing. Nothing beats the feeling of pulling a loud Honda down the 'strip while yammering on the phone

It's common knowledge that Mustang owners pull out their cell phones to reach Dr.Kevorkian to make an appointment for a retro-active abortion for themselves when they realize what a loser they are, though it is rare for them to race anything as powerfull as a Corvette, let alone a Viper. Darwin Rules! :D

I thought that our cars should be in 14.5-14.7 range.

Car & Driver's test of the 4.6 was 14.9 @ 92. The MPH is right on; you'd need perfect traction to get a much better ET. If I brake torqued to stall (2100) the front tires would chirp at launch and the traction control would activate (you can't turn it completely off) and hurt the 60'. Best times were achieved by bringing revs to 1500 and then hitting it. That gave a 2.23 60' and a 14.93 @ 91.8
