I went to down to Tator's today and picked up my car. Chuck and Rob finished the rebuild on the engine. Like Chuck said; "I have good news and I have more good news".

The car ran well on the way home. Chuck had put 100 miles on the engine before I picked it up. Just to check out the oil consumption. That went well. I put 200 miles on the way home. I just checked the oil on the stick. Right in the middle of the safe. I must say- Hard to read it, the oil is so darn clean.

Ah, the sweet smell of heat coming off a new engine. Sure beats the smell of oil burning.

Five weeks of anxiety has come to an end. Of course there is that Physical Thearapy, rehabilitation, 1000 mile break in thing. Man I wanted to put my foot in it. But I am getting friendly with 6th gear instead.

Next time I see you Chuck, should be at the BBQ. I looked close, No Ice cream!

My 92 is healthy. Thanks Chuck, you too Rob.

See you at the cook out.

You don't actually think Chuck put 200 miles on the car just to check the oil consumption do you? Ha! Why do you think he works on vipers? He puts 200 miles on all vipers before he returns them. Including such things as headlight replacments, lighter replacements, air in tires....

Thats one way to keep the milage down on his 94. But I did the 200 miles on the way home and Rob (viper tech # 2 at Tator's) put most of the other 100 miles on it.
