I have black interior in my 93?

Hi guys - I am new to this site. I received an insurance replacement for my totaled 95 viper vin # xxx210 and now have an awesome 93 vin xxx870. the interior is all black, seats, dash and all. I have been told there were no black interiors in 93 -please help? I like it and my friends think this is a rae snake. any thoughts?

Gray leather seats & dash were the only options in '92-'93. In '94 they added a tan interior with black dash as an option. I couldn't find anything in a GenI that had black seats. Probably custom or retro fit from a GenII. I'm no expert but based on what I do know... that's the story. Run the VIN through CarFax or ask the owner outright what's the story.

NO black interior in a -93.
xxx870 puts it later in -93, meaning it has also "hidden" antenna.

Your interior has been dyed or changed, how about some pictures?

thanks guys. I know, it is crazy. SOmeone told me it is a special issue. The valve cover on drivers side said hennessey on it -it was hand painted. The car it so much faster than my 95 and sounds much different. I really dont know it all looks stock but the interior really has me baffled.

I doubt it is special issue... I have not seen one yet. Hennessey valvecovers were usually engraved and the car would have a plate inside stating it's H-serial number. Hennessey has BOTH covers engraved.
Regarding the sound, the only thing you need to do is to remove either the muffler or cat and car really seems to wake up and sounds different.
The GEN 1's have quite a bit HP differences, some are at 370, some are at 415. You can definately feel that difference.

Sounds like a custom job. If it doesn't bother you then don't worry about it. I don't know if Hennessey did Vipers back in 93. Maybe it's got Cams and an exhaust. Does it say Venom on the sides of the hood? Since you are used to the 95' be extra careful not to hit reverse when going to 5th, there is no lockout in 93'!!!
