Hello everyone

I just bought the only Viper in Finland and have some Q:s

The cars is a yellow RT/10-95. I wonder if there is some special bolts and how Im gonna put back the plastic on the roll bar when I have taking the hard top away. Can someone take a close pictures of it? I tried to put on the softtop but I noticed there was some bolts or something missing on the plastic roll bar shield because it will not grab in the rear of the softtop.

Im also looking for a good service and repair manual, where can I order one?

Where can I order accessories catalogs?

Hey Tomas,
I believe you need another set of bolts(the same that hold the trim piece on) for the soft top to snap on to. Just get two more bolts and install under the opening of the "roll bar" trim.

Thomas,
Welcome, and you WILL enjoy the Viper.
Go to your local hardware store, and get 4 bolts that fit the 4 holes in the solid part of the sport bar. These screw in from front to rear. The bolts are about 2" long, but must be able to turn in all the way (cannot bottom out before the bolt head reaches the bar). These should line up with the 4 holes on the padded part. These holes should be slotted, so as to slip down over the bolts you loosely put into the sport bar. If the holes are not slotted, make then slotted. Use a short 1/2 inch or 13 mm open end wrench to tighten bolts inside the limited access slot. That's it. You can get high strength bolts if you want, but these are not a structural bolt.

Good luck.

Thomas,
That I don't know, I would suspect inch, but if you take the car to the hardware store, you will find the ones that fit.

Don't have any help on the car, but congratulations!

Your car is the one out of Da Rude's Feel the Beat video? Cooool! Down here, that still gets played occasionally on MTV, which is always on at the gym. When it comes on, I stop what I am doing, stand and stare at your sweet RT10. That's pretty cool - someone on the exact opposite side of the world stops what he's doing to drool over your car. I hate the bit where they lock up the front before they get on the helicopter though... flatspots are pricey ;) ;)

Hey Thomas!

Now there are two Finns with Vipers. You are the only one in Finland though.

I have a fishing cottage close to you, in Houtskar.

Congratulations Thomas! Gotta love that Darude Video, it's a famous car.

If you need any help with parts or shipping stuff from USA, please contact me. (Ps. Chuck is the place to get your parts!)

Are you planning to take the Viper to Finland if you move home?

No, since I am permamently in US. I did it once with a -73 Corvette, which I bought while working in Stockholm. This was in the late 80's. I think that the Finnish customs regulations would make it just about impossible to import my R/T 10 to home. (unless I would be willing to pay zillion bucks to the customs?)
Puhutko Suomea?
Talar du svenska?

Keep in touch, Lauri
