Hey Guys. Happy to Join this group now that i have a couple vipers! I just bought an 08 and i need to take the mopar powertrain module computer off so i can smog it. Problem is when i go to remove the connectors they wont come off (i know if the picture the red part is in lock position, it wasn't when i tried). Is there anything i need to know about these? I don't see any clips anywhere (other then the red part that slides back). When i look at the stock module i don't see any grooves for clips, yet when i try to pull these back they won't budge. Would appreciate some advice as i don't want to break anything.

Would appreciate any guidance here, when it comes to working on cars on know some things need to be muscled, but i want to be careful here. Also when i do manage to get the stock one back in do i have to program it? or is it ready to go?

It should be ready to go, although all the adjustments will be back to zero. Did you pull the lock down, then try to remove one at a time?

Yes. I pulled the red lock down and pulled pretty hard and they wont come off. Even tried using some light pressure from a wrench to loosen up one side. If there's no secret clip anywhere i guess i will just have to try with more force. Now when you say the adjustments will be back to zero what do you mean? Do i need to take it to a dodge dealer for them to do something or will the car adjust itself? Thanks for the response.

There should still be a little tab you have to press once you unlock it for it to release from the connector. I believe on your pictures it would be just to the left of the red locking parts. Try pressing in on the black portion just to the left of that once they are unlocked and wiggle them a bit. They can be a bit stubborn, but they should come out without too much force.

Thank you. I see that now!
