My Viper continues to hate me

Recently brought her in for a coil-over install, and when they shook down the suspension, the damn control arm popped off the ball joint—basically pushed right through it. Ball joint completely failed.

So, that's cool.

Dang I've never seen that before. Time for a new-used wishbone and have a close look at the knuckle.

As an aside, the plan was to do .5in lower with coil overs. Is there a consensus on ideal height to reduce wheel gap but also not scrape everywhere?

My 04 is probably somewhere between 0.25-0.5" lower than stock if I remember correctly and I haven't really had much for issues. Still have to be careful, but it's also pretty flat where I live.

25mm/1"/1 finger would likely be a more noticeable drop and still have plenty of ground clearance.
