I purchased an I pod kit for my 09 vert with Nav. RB1. The mopar part # is 1-82210181AB.

Has anyone installed this in their 09 yet? I have read all kinds of stuff from it messes with the gauges to increases the odometer reading rediculously.

Just want feedback before I put this thing in.

I unfortunately belong to the wrong camp on this one when Chuck Tator tried to install the ipod connection in my 08-the dash looked like a Xmas tree all lit up and the mileage changed by 35 miles sitting in his shop. Apparently its a hit or miss sort of thing. There are some 08-09 owners who have got this to work. While even others had it work for a few months when they ran into the same problems as me. Mark from Woodhouse can fill you in more as well.

The one you refer to is the FM-modulated iPod adapter.
It won't interfere with your car's electronics at all, but it also won't sound very good.
Sound is sent through a specific frequency on your FM dial.
You will need to do any controlling via your iPod.

Sorry for my confusion, thought you were talking about the hardwire kit for the ipod.

Yes.... and no. It will actually sound fine, as it connects directly into the Antenna jack on the back of the radio, and blocks stray signals, connects directly to the iPod, and also charges the iPod. It does however require that you change stations on the iPod itself.
