I think that fuel door will look awesome on my Silver Mamba ... anyone have any idea if it will fit? or when someone might be selling them (the wheels are already being sold) ...

When I initially read the thread, I started to gasp. It looks horrible on the blue and red cars they had on display. However, i believe that the cap would look decent on silver cars such as ours. Then again, I might have to see it in person before I could actually pull the plug. You might have to wait for the coupe to actually be released before you can get a part number. As for the wheels, I didn't think you were actually able to purchase them quite yet...

I also wonder if it will fit, since the body panels are supposed to be different???

I personally think that it would look cool on ANY color car.

I was lucky enough in January to have the opportunity to see one of the pre production cars in Detroit before the Auto Show. I looked at the door really close and was thinking that it would be really neat to have. I opened the door to look at how it was attached to the quarter panel and noticed it was plastic and not metal.

Now before anyone jumps on me about it, I realize that molding in plastic is quicker, easier and cheaper than machining aluminum when prototyping. I was just surprised to open the door and find it plastic instead of metal. This one was attached to the fasteners that held the fill tube to the quarter panel and would be easy to transfer if the dimensions are the same between the coupe and convert.

After considering all factors, I went with the Autoform High Polish Billet Gas door on my white Mamba. Yes it's pricey but Autoform did give me(Viper Club) a discount. After several comments that the Coupe gas door may be made out of plastic,I decided on a high quality item. Money spend on the snake is fungible...
