I was at a Mobil gas station last weekend.. A nice C5 pulls up, screeching to a halt and says "very nice car, mind if I take a look?" He was one of the Mid America/Zip Car Products poster boys. He had the megaphone 10 station tail pipe addon, silver highlights around all the taillights, extra 'corvette' insignias everywhere, etc..
He kept walking around car saying "oh my God, oh my God" He was a VERY nice guy and was very polite, asking if he could sit in the car. His immediate question was .. Hey, it's got no digital speed, or anything!. I said, nope, just a pure race car.. He added by saying how do they handle, We kept talking for about another 20 minutes..
I could tell he wanted a drive.. Instead I handed him the keys.. He about died and went to heaven. I made sure he left me his keys and he left his g.f. with me too.

He came back abou 3 minutes later, handed me the keys and was speechless. Kept studdering and couldn't get anywords out of his mouth, saying this was the fastest car he's every driven. I think he was most impressed with the handling over his corvette and how suprisingly comfortable it was.. He walked back to his car and said something like he as to get into his Geo Metro now and drive home and it's going to be a horrible drive.. He's visiting a local Dodge dealer soon I hope..

And no, I wouldn't let him boost it (you think I'm that crazzy?)

took the fuses out for the extra fuel pump...? But, that would mean he was still boosting, however, the car was running lean! or is there other things connected to the fuel pump fuse? This is how it works as far as my knowledge goes with S/C's...I have a ton of Turbo experience, but my S/C experience is limited, other than how they work.

I'd have left you the Vette and my wife and kept the Viper. Actually, you could have had my 3 kids too.

Honestly though, that is a really good thing you did for that guy and he's got a great story to tell his friends now too!
