IAC filter

I have a puke can on my 2001 GTS, but noticed that some cars have a filter right on the IAC at the valve cover, while I still have the hose that goes to the factory airbox. Any advantage of removing the hose and getting a small filter to put right on the IAC?

i dont remember if you are boosted but its usually boosted cars and/or cars that need more ventilation

Or cars that have aftermarket air boxes that have no provision for the IAC hose.

no boost, guess I should just leave it alone. Wasnt sure if I removed the hose and put a filter on if it would make any difference.

I did it to open that large connection on the airbox for the PCV syst so I could put my catch can on that side of the compartment

it makes more sound with a filter on it
like air rushing/sucking in

On a Gen I, how the heck do you get the oil filter out of the engine compartment without destroying it?
