I\'m back! Question about possible purchase..

Hi All,

Not sure if any of you remember me, but I was an active member of this board about 3 years ago, until I sadly sold my GTS. Anyway, I'm finally in the market for another, and wanted to get some opinions as to whether this is a good deal:

I'm looking at a 2001 ACR with just over 1,500 miles (Yellow/Black stripes), all stock, and it comes with an extended Dodge warranty until 2010 (with $100 deductible). Asking price is $59,000 and is slightly negotiable beyond that.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like a great deal (especially if you could squeeze a few G's more out of the price).

You're getting an ABS ACR, in a very desireable color!

Thanks for the warm welcome back -- I will definitely be joining the VCA as soon as I get the car.

I have him down to $58,800 with brand new Borla exhaust (in box) and Roe high flow cats included.

I think I'm sold.

I'll sell you my '99 ACR for almost $10k less than that. It's faster and sounds better.

With the exhaust, cats and warranty, you are basically down to $55k. Well, get him down another $1k or so, then you will be. IMHO, that is a fair price for a low miles, EX condition 02.

Good luck and enjoy the few extra hp with that yellow paint.

1500 miles on a 01 ACR is outstanding, barely broke in, and with the bumble bee paint,well, that is hot as hell.....no brainer, in my opinion I would have bought at $58,000,00 but, with the almost $3,000.00 in exhaust upgrades, the next question is, to whom do I make the check out to?...............I wish you well on this purchase, and in advance,welcome back to VCA.........

You said he is pretty firm on his price, yet his auction has no reserve. Is he planning on ending it early if he doesn't get the price he wants?

That's a sweet ride. That's my favorite color combo. There's another 01' yellow ACR on eBay and they want $68K for it, so it sounds like you're getting a good deal @ $58,800. Good luck with it!
