The wheels look great but are way to heavy and probably will have a negative effect on handling. not to mention they cost an arm and a leg plus a nut or two!

There mostly for showboating on the street. Anyone who tracks their car would run purners or acrs with hoosiers.

I'm not sure what the weight differnce is. I have a set of ACRs and the startechs. when I swap them for the next sebring race, I will weigh them.

But even if they did weigh more, on the street, should not make that much of a difference, its like saying taking a fat girl for a ride in your car would have a negative effect. yeah maybe on something else, but not the car.

On the track, unsprung weight is faster laps. but anyone who would run a $10,000 pair or rims and tires on the track and risk sliding into kitty litter is just not that smart.

Most people on these board never take their car to a road coarse or a drag strip. So they really dont know what it can rally do. me thats why I have the car.

Boy, that chrome look on the Black is beyond compare.......I am smitten. From the brief comments I assume this is tape? Wonder if it could be done with paint?

Its actually a photoshop job on the picture, I believe.

they do have shimmer tape that is chrome an reflects in the dark and they do have chrome paint base/clear apps that you make look like that.

I bought some 8" chrome striping from Pep Boys just to try it on the SRT before paint. It may not look it in this poor quality picture, but in person it looked exactly like the photoshop on the black car. Just like someone chrome plated the hood.

A professional should be able to apply it, but I was not able to make it go over edges and corners.

A little better in this photo. Almost looks white it's so reflective.

Ultimately, paint was the way to go.

Viperfreak2, are those stripes white AND blue?!
If so, do you have any pics of it outside the garage?
Further, did you paint your hood emblem blue or is it just a silhouette?

I used 3m blue tape to mask off the car. This was how I decided to add the blue in the first place. It looked good in the prep phase! Here's the finished product:

Oh, and I also used black out tape inside the hood scoop. I think it makes a big difference.

This is the view from the back, before I changed to the 1/2" Navy blue stripes.
