Hello, All:

President Jim Robertson and his Officers & Board Members proudly announce that the IN/KY VCA will return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's Opening Day events on May 11, 2013.

We will be based in (and have lunch in) the same Speedway suite overlooking the Pits as last year!! The package will include admission to the IMS grounds, VIP parking close by, PIT PASSES, and a light meal of hot dogs or hamburgers, as well as coleslaw, brownies, and soft drinks (The IMS controls all food and it's pricing). One can also roam the grounds and visit the historic automobile displays planned for that day. Anyone wishing to enter the Museum will need to pay at the Museum door. This would also obviously offer a roof over our heads, air conditioning, shelter from any rain, and restrooms.

This year's event will cost $75.00 PER PERSON...payable in advance by check to be made out to:

Blackburn Sports Marketing
9363 Tundra Drive
Zionsville, In 46077

ALL entry tickets, passes, parking permits, etc. would be distributed the day of the event in the parking lot of Champion C-J-Dodge-R (4505 WEST 96th St, Indianapolis, IN 46268...@ I-465 Exit 27) just before we depart for the IMS by this event's Chairperson, Steve Fess.

PLEASE GATHER between 10:00 and 10:30 AM EDT (Indy, Cincy, Detroit, & Louisville are on EDT...Evansville and Chicago are on CDT...BE SURE to plan around this time difference if you live in the CDT Zone!!!).

We will depart at 11:00 AM EDT SHARP.

If one cannot meet the "caravan" at Champion BEFORE we depart for the IMS, provisions are being made by Blackburn Sports Marketing to meet said folks in the parking lot of the Brickyard Crossing Restaurant (located on 16th St...just outside IMS turn Two). More later.

There are no refunds for "no-shows"...and this event will take place rain or shine.

By the way, once again we will have a "trailing ******" to the IMS...who will also guard our Vipers for a total of 4 hours (until 3:00 PM EDT). The payment of this same Town of Speedway Police Officer will again be handled "privately" at no cost to the Club...thus insuring a worry free day at this event for our Members.

Needless to say, this has been a complex deal to put together...but well worth the effort as the IN/KY VCA Officers feel that it will be a great event for our Regional Members and guests.

Members are able to add guests at $75.00 per person.

Thanks,

Steve Fess, Membership Coordinator, VCA IN/KY Region, Inc.

Hi, Jay.

As the Club has nothing to do with the ticket sales this year, I would suggest that you mail the check in the near future to:

Blackburn Sports Marketing
9363 Tundra Drive
Zionsville, In 46077

Since we just opened this event, I am sure that you will be fine...BUT, as you know, this is a National invitation...so I personally would not delay too long.

As noted above, the IN/KY VCA will return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's Opening Day events on May 11, 2013...AND, we will be based in the same Speedway suite overlooking the Pits as last year...hosted by Blackburn Sports Marketing (BSM).
As of today, BSM tells me that they have received checks for over 40 people !!

PLEASE send your check ASAP if you intend to participate in this event. Include your name and the name(s) of your guest(s).

The suite is very comfortable... offering a roof over our heads, air conditioning, shelter from any rain, and restrooms.

This year's event will cost $75.00 PER PERSON...payable in advance by check to be made out to:

Blackburn Sports Marketing

Beth @ Blackburn Sports Marketing tells me that we are getting close to "our capacity". We are just a few folks shy of last year's number...and we still have 5 weeks to go.

If YOU are interested in this event, but still "on the fence", I would suggest that you decide soon...and get YOUR check into the mail.

As of this writing, the Indy area forecast for tomorrow per the Weather Channel: AM low 47, afternoon high 64, windy, slight chance of a late shower.

YES, we are driving Vipers !!

At this time, we have 6 suite tickets and 2 parking passes left for those of you who might decide to participate tomorrow. If so, call me ASAP, then join us at Champion Dodge at 10:00 AM EDT tomorrow, look for ME, and plan to bring $75.00 cash per person so that I can give it to Blackburn Sports marketing as we arrive at the track.

We will depart at 11:00 AM EDT SHARP.

Good day today...in spite of a cloudy, cool morning. Roughly 25-27 Vipers, one Viper truck, two S-2000's, one Corvette, one Boss Mustang, and assorted daily drivers made the trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway today...accompanied by a nice gray Dodge Charger which was full of blue and red lights and many strobes !! Parking had to be changed due to yesterday's rain...but our cars stayed clean thanks to our ******'s connections. The Historic vehicles on display from all over the country were/are magnificent!! Beth from Blackburn Sports Marketing is a hostess second to none...AND, the food was both fantastic and plentiful (by the way Beth, CONGRATS on your son's podium finish today in Spain !!).

Thanks are owed to Champion Dodge for allowing us to stage at their facility, and to our "Official Friend" for the ****** and for watching over the Vipers for us !!!

Finally, THANKS to all of our Members and guests (from 3 states) who participated today.

Had a fantastic time at IMS. Thank you Steve for your dedicated hard work you do for us. It was great meeting with the folks from out of town, and visiting with the locals as well. Looking forward to next year...
