WOW, what kind of car did you have???
1998 is a great year.. All of bugs worked out on previous GTS's, Textured dash, emergency alarm shut off, emergency door release handles, forged pistons, lumpy cam (maybe not quite as lumpy as pre-98's), shorty headers (weight savings and ?hp gain?)

Yep 98's seem to be a good year, no real big problems I know of.

Yes, you should absolutley avoid going WOT in 1st unless your wheels are pointed straight, unless of course you like doing high speed donuts
Also you should absolutely replace the exhaust, the stock exhaust doesn't do the car justice.
