I'm looking at a viper for sale and the owner is painting the the front lip due to scrapes and scratches from his driveway. He called and made an insurance claim and they covered it. I'm wondering, will this show up on a carfax sooner than later? What are your thoughts? Thanks..

Don't count on it. There have been people that have bought cars based on a clean CARFAX only to find out YEARS later when they look up their VIN for the heck of it that there is an incident there that was not there before...
I heard of that happening also, but in general I was wondering how long till it shows up on a carfax if it ever does

there was a recent post about someone buying a viper with a clean car fax then later it was reported on it a accident that happens something like 8 years before he bought it...i would be so pissed
