That's about what I'm paying with Progressive, but I live on Miami Beach, so rates here are higher than a lot of places. I'd be interested to know what the average owner is paying also.

Check with someone else. I am 25, married, ok record. I pay Monthly $123.00. That sound high to me. I am in Dallas on top of that. Sorry, I'm with State Farm. Full coverage

Be sure to use the Search Key on this site and you will find a TON of answers (143 different subjects that mention insurance, including some exactly like yours, when I did a quick scan).

That said, I pay about $70 a month with State Farm. 39 years old (ancient), married, multiple cars (drops your rates as well), with a clean driving record. The multicar discount is sometimes worth a LOT on a Viper. I have heard of people buying a 20-year-old clunker and insuring it just to get the discount on the Viper. Of course, I don't know what is right or wrong about that from a legal perspective (seems legit to me), but it is food for thought. Check around, including some of the "comparitive" sites like Lowermybills.com and similar services. Good luck!

In 39 and 1/2 hours when I take delivery of my 96 GTS, I'll be paying $75.00 a month with State Farm. I'm 33, single with a clean driving record.

That's not always right. I am 23, have a few tickets, and one totalled car, and I pay less than $75 per month with full coverage, comp, everything. I have it classified as a second car, but am NOT limited to how many miles I can put on it. I also get multi car discount, and a good student discount... (maintain B average or higher I think) Those are 10% off each I think.

$185.00 quarterly. Multi-car discount, home owner, 48,
married, clean record for the last decade or so.
I also have my '69 Z/28 insured with them for $65 quarterly.
They consider it a parade vehicle or something.

$5,800 a year (if my son drove it), I'm just $98 a month (what I really pay). I had to ask... and if it was my son's? They said, $5,800... eek!

Get this, he can still drive it, if it's MY car and he has another car as prime - for just $98/month! Just don't hit anything!

AAA, Northern California, 100% clean record for more than 7 years, multi-car discount, and 38 yrs old.

We pay $349 a year, full coverage and I (19 years old) am insured on two vipers for nothing, just added on as a driver!

The benefits of fleet coverage, one ticket, blemish, whatever, and my dad would kill me and only let me drive my nikes.

If you live in California then AAA is pretty competitive. I have my motorcycles, Seadoos and several cars insured with them. The only downfall is that all sports cars have a $500 deductable.

I am patiently waiting for my insurance company to allow me the privilege of owning a Viper. I'm 24 single male with 4 cars and a house. My agent told me it would be much cheaper per month to buy the 96 RT/10 I want than it would be to insure it. (Apprx $500-700/month) but understand that I have numerous tickets and two accidents and my job requires my insurance to cover 125k miles a year. But maybe someday. Currently I pay about 2500/yr on a 96 Impala SS and 93 del Sol.

Trust me, if I could get out of it I would but all the other [insert choice foul words here] insurance companies want to start me on high risk. Its good old fashion extortion if you ask me. Maybe I can move to Michigan (or Wisconson, or one of them lake states), I here they don't require insurance there. Hmmmm
