My friend Steve over on the dodge-talk.com forum created a GTS model using the SRT-10.However I wasn't gonna let the car go.It came to my mind I have yet seen a ACR photoshop.Hope ya guys like it.
Funny you should say that, djmcee, it looks a bit like a Z to me too. But its good, me likey! I think it looks better than the Comp Coupe, which by all rumors is what the Gen3 coupe will resemble.
When I first looked at it, thought I liked it, but the more I look at it:
Never liked the sharp cut-out on the '03
Lines are to straight front to back
Dip over the front fascia to the spoiler to vertical...looks like a track cow-cleaner on an old train
Car as a whole looks okay, but nothing new, different, wow, on the edge...
It is unfortunate that the above photoshop is pretty close to the Coupe we will see at VOI. I doubt that there is as much body on the back around the rear glass, I think it will be much more Corvette looking, meaning an all glass slope back, not body panel slope back.
The comp coupe in a street version was the only thing with a hard top that DC should have made.
With the Orig GTS the whole back end was new and unique to the GTS, the new SRT hard top we will see at VOI is just an SRT with a hard top and a sloped back window, everything else seems to be pure SRT-10. Big mistake!!!!!!
And it's sad that it isn't the concept version or a comp coupe version.
The 2nd one looks a lot better. The rounded GTS roof looks good, I think the factory would probably run the rear glass a little lower, and the side skirts are way too low to be streetable - but the overall effect is quite good.
If the 'coupe' version of the SRT-10 looks like a Z06 roofline or a Vette 'all glass slope', I can live with that....only if it has 600+hp. Funny how ponies can sway my opinion.
