Is it a pain to flush the coolant

I usually do my own mainteneance on the car, but flushing the coolant i haven't tried. I'm getting quotes of 80 to 100 bucks. I've done a search on this and have not found a good thread on doing it. If someone could point me in the right direction i would be greatful.
The 80 dollar fluch is with a machine which i dont have.

How to burp cooling system??

My flush instructions are in posts 17 and 21. I have no idea if this relates to the newer GENs. I didn't use any flush/vacuum/pressurized machines.

The thing you would be missing is the chemicals that do the cleaning and then the additive to put in to the system to extend the life of the new coolant.

I have found this device to be absolutely invaluable especially on systems where the radiator is below the engine and "burping" is required.

Not only will it check for leaks but it gets *all* the air out.
