Is it safe to sit on an RT/10\'s sports bar?

I was just asked to drive my RT/10 in a high school homecoming parade - to drive the homecoming queen in the parade. Would it be safe for her to sit on the sports bar? I was wondering if the sports bar could hold the weight?

As long as she is under 250lbs.

Being the homecoming queen, I doubt she weighs a whole lot to bgin with, but I would ask her to try to put most of her weight on the actual body of the car behind the sportsbar. That way her weight is on the car and her legs can hang over the sportsbar. Most importantly, be sure to post pics!!! :2tu:

I think you should ask her to put most of her weight on top of your actual body. Her legs can hang over as needed.

Should be no problem. This past August, my twin brother and I had the car in the annual Twins Days Festival Parade in Twinsburg, Ohio. We had a couple of passengers aboard and the sport bar had no problem.

That's the best suggestion so far!

if i did that, my luck would be that i would go home with a crack in my hood from front to back, a boot would kick out my light, my paint would have a small discoloration mark from "who-knows-what", a blown shock, and lets not talk about all the scratches! LOL

It should be fine. Just be sure to 'adjust' your rear view mirror so you can *cough* see *cough* out of the rear window... :) :2tu:
