Is new \"race Yellow\" same as previous yellow? More questions...

Any answers on the yellow would bw great. Also; if everyone seems to go to smooth tubes and K&N filters why doesn't the factory just do it and claim 10 more horses for such a little price?

If we all seem to want to change to a better sounding exhaust like the Mopar (for ex.) why don't they do it or offer it as an option? The car is already 70k plus and a lot of us would just as soon have these simple but great upgrades done at the factory. I realize ACR has tubes/filters but I like my RT-10.

Soft top; Why doesn't Viper make the top user friendly? Porsche has had a great design for many years. Ours may be more stable at high speeds, but with skin cancer I just want some quick protection. I don't think many of us like the production of installing or removing the top. Porsche top takes about thirty seconds. I am a dedicated Viper owner. This top thing is really weird that it has not been simplified. Any feedback?

Thanks, and have a great holiday!

Jim: Can't answer all your questions but here are a few. The new race yellow is very different from the earlier yellow viper. It is much like the new yellow on the prowlers if you have seen those. May be the same. AS for the smooth tubes I think there was a post the other day about this and the fact that the car would need to be recertified with this change in HP rating. I am sure the same would be true for the exhaust.

Hope this helps.
